An International Achievement: Mustafa Başar in the World Bank Candidate Pool

Mustafa Başar, Executive Board Member responsible for Business Development at Kervan Gıda, has been included in the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Independent Board Member candidate pool.

The World Bank and the International Finance Corporation, which have developed a comprehensive approach to strengthening the roles of women and citizens of developing countries on the boards of companies in different countries, have in recent years aimed to proactively source qualified candidates and increase “talent diversity” on the boards of companies in which IFC invests.

As a result of the training and support provided by the Corporate Governance Association of Turkey, Mustafa Başar, Executive Board Member responsible for Business Development at Kervan Gıda, whose managerial competence and expertise have been certified, has been included in the International Finance Corporation’s list of independent board member candidates. Başar thanked the Corporate Governance Association of Türkiye, in the presence of its Chairman Tamer Saka, Secretary General Güray Karacar, and Project Manager Müge Engin, for their efforts in contributing to Türkiye’s valuable human capital and for enabling many talents to gain highly effective and realistic experience through board meeting simulation training programs.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), the largest global development institution focused on the private sector, operates in more than 100 countries around the world, applying the experience gained in one region to help solve challenges in another.
